Acer Launches Two New Gaming Laptops Under Predator Series

If you are a hardcore gamer and can’t spend a single day without playing games, then you must be aware of the struggles a gamer undergoes. The bulky hardware, peculiar configuration and high-performance laptops were hard to handle at times. But, this perception of users is set to change as the electronics company from Taiwan, Acer has played it smart by launching two new gaming laptops, Predator Triton 700 and Helios 300 at the Next@Acer global press conference in New York that are slim, light in weight and easy to carry.

Acer’s new Triton 700

Both the laptops sport new AeroBlade 3D metal blade fans, which can increase the airflow by 35%, a blessing for gaming enthusiasts.

Jerry Hou, General Manager, Consumer Notebooks said both the laptops are inspired by the Predator 21X, which first came to light in 2016 at IFA. The top-end model, Predator Triton 700 is built on chassis that is 18.9mm thin and weighs 2.6Kg. It is basically an Ultrabook featuring 15.6-inch 1080p display, Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 10-series graphic card, AeroBlade 3D fans, a Core i7-7700HQ processor and a 16GB RAM that can be upgraded t0 32GB.

Apart from this, it wears an aluminum body, has a mechanical keyboard with a Corning Gorilla glass plate over it that also acts as a cooling solution for the laptop and can be extended over as a trackpad (if wanted) and RGB backlighting. For connecting, it has multiple ports including 2 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0, HDMI 2.0 and Gigabit LAN. A dual 4k video-outlet is also there.

Helios 300 Slim

While the Predator Helios 300 is more attentively designed sporting similar features and configurations as its elder sibling. It is available in two screen sizes, 15.6 and 17.3 inches, both of which are full-HD. Talking about the specifications, the smaller sibling grants users to make a choice between the two available processors, Core i5 or Core i7 Intel CPUs. Plus, users get an option of graphic card as well either Nvidia GTX 1060 or 1050Ti GTU. The included RAM is of 16GB which can be upgraded to 32GB and for storage, the company has integrated a regular hard drive. However, Acer has given liberty to the users for upgradation of memory and storage as per their requirements. For supreme audio quality, it has Dolby Audio Premium.

The bigger sibling, Triton 700 will be available for the people to buy in the US in August, starting at $2,999 while the Helios 300 will be out at $1,299 probably at the start of July.
